Sweeny United
Sweeny United is a Youth Development Program that benefits the elderly, disadvantaged and disabled residents of the Sweeny area.  Sweeny Junior High and Senior High students complete home repairs and maintenance projects during a one week work camp, June 4-8.  Adult volunteers work with small groups of students to teach and guide students to successfully complete the projects.  Many adult volunteers are needed and are invited to participate.

All students who live in Sweeny I.S.D. may get student applications at the Sweeny Junior or Senior High office, City Hall, area churches or on this website by going to the "Volunteer" page.

Sweeny United is a 501(C)3 organization, funded by local churches, businesses, service clubs, civic organizations, and individuals.  Sweeny United also received a grant for this year's projects.
Homeowners who need repairs may get applications from City Hall in Sweeny or contact us through this website.
